2010 Property Tax Rates for Johnson County Emergency Service District #1

This notice concerns 2010 property tax rates for Johnson County
Emergency Service District #1. It presents information about three tax
rates. Last year's tax rate is the actual rate the taxing unit used to determine
property taxes last year. This year's effective tax rate would impose the
same total taxes as last year if you compare properties taxed in both years.
This year's rollback tax rate is the highest tax rate the taxing unit can set
before taxpayers can start tax rollback procedures. In each case these rates
are found by dividing the total amount of taxes by the tax base (the total
value of taxable property) with adjustments as required by state law. The

JOHNSON COUNTY EMERGENCY

SERVICES DISTRICT # 1

 

A Public Hearing of the Commissioners of the Johnson County Emergency Services District #1 will be convened at the call of the President at 7:00 p.m. on September 9, 2010 at the Johnson County Emergency Services District Fire Training Facility, Room #1, at 2451 Service Drive, Cleburne, Texas, for purposes of a public hearing:

PUBLIC HEARING

 

Citizen's comments regarding the proposed tax rate of 6 cents ($.06) per $100 dollars of property valuation.

  

ANNOUNCEMENTS:  On September 16, 2010 @ 7:00 pm, the commissioners will convene in regular session and will vote to set the tax rate.

 

NOTE: This will be a public hearing only; no action will be taken at this meeting. Any person(s) wishing to address the Board during the public hearing should request to speak and be acknowledged by the Board's presiding officer. Each person will be limited to 3 minutes speaking time, unless granted additional time by the Board.

A Special Called Meeting of the Commissioners of the Johnson County Emergency Services District #1 will be convened at the call of the President immediately following the Public Hearing on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the Johnson County Emergency Services District # 1 Training Facility at 2451 Service Drive, Cleburne, Texas, to consider and act on matters set forth on the following agenda:
