Welcome
Johnson County Fire Training Center
Johnson County Emergency Services District #1 covers 734.5 square miles with a population of 157,500. The ESD contracts with 16 Fire Departments to provide fire suppression and emergency medical services to the residents in Johnson County. Three of these fire departments are staffed with paid and volunteer called combination departments and thirteen are staffed with volunteers.
When you call "911" the men and women from your fire department respond to your call. Johnson County volunteers come from all walks of life. They may be mailmen, truck drivers, office workers, firefighters, etc. They are your neighbors and members of your community. When they become a volunteer they have committed themselves to hours of training in fire suppression and medical knowledge which makes them better able to respond to the needs of the community.
The Texas Forest Service offers assistance on fire related training. If you are going to apply for a grant for Annual School you need to file prior to attending.
